Went to PremiereVision and the Directions by Indigo trade shows in NY today. It's ridiculously smaller than the one in Paris and not nearly as exciting. I was disappointed to see repeated trends but the colors are going to be exciting in Spring 2011. Soft shades of color. Lots of pink, all shades. Hot Red, neutrals, bright teal...nothing else was very memorable. Florals are still going to be around but the prints are worked in with other patterns such as stripes, which I liked. By the way, I'm dead on with my interest in Midwestern inspiration. Think "Brokeback Mountain." The scenery, clothing, mood of the movie. That's going to be big. Denim shirts too. I wish I could show images of what I saw but I wasn't able to leave with anything visually inspiring.
